Privacy policy

This policy explains what information NavViewTZ handles through the website, newsletter and ChatGPT app, and the choices available to you.

Information we handle

  • Newsletter: first name, last name, email address, subscription status and subscription timestamps.
  • Website preferences: theme, language, saved portfolio/goals and display choices stored locally in your browser. These remain on your device unless you clear them.
  • Usage and technical information: when analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may receive page, event, device and browser information. Our Firebase and Google Cloud services may also process request metadata such as IP address and user agent in operational and security logs.
  • ChatGPT app requests: fund names, filters and comparison instructions needed to answer your request. The NavViewTZ tools do not require your name, email address or a NavViewTZ account.
  • Support: information you choose to send through our feedback form, stored in our Firebase database.

How we use and share information

We use this information to provide fund data, remember on-device preferences, deliver and manage the Weekly Pulse, understand product use, answer support requests, prevent abuse and maintain service reliability. We use service providers including Google Firebase, Google Cloud and Google Analytics for those purposes. ChatGPT requests are also subject to OpenAI's privacy practices. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and your choices

Active subscriber records are kept while the subscription remains active. Unsubscribing changes the record to retired so we can honour the opt-out; you can ask us to delete that record. Operational, analytics and support information is retained only as reasonably needed for the purposes above and according to the relevant service-provider settings. You can unsubscribe at any time, clear browser storage, use browser controls for analytics, or request access, correction or deletion through Support.

Children, security and changes

NavViewTZ is not directed to children. We apply reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date.
